God Saman

 God Saman is one of the most respected guardian deities in Sri Lanka. He is especially known as the protector of the Adam’s Peak (Sri Padaya) and the Sabaragamuwa region. Many Sri Lankans worship him and believe that he protects the country and its people.

According to traditional stories, Gautama Buddha visited Sri Lanka in ancient times and met Saman. It is believed that Saman listened to the teachings of the Buddha and became a follower who promised to protect Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Because of this, Buddhists respect him as a guardian deity.

The main temple dedicated to him is the Saman Devalaya, which is located in Ratnapura. Many devotees visit this temple to offer prayers and ask for blessings. Pilgrims who travel to Adam’s Peak often worship God Saman before beginning their journey.

In conclusion, God Saman holds an important place in Sri Lankan culture and religion. People believe that he protects the sacred mountain and blesses those who worship him with faith.

 When I was little, one day I got a teddy bear. Usually, boys don’t buy teddy bears, but I kept it next to me on my bed so I wouldn’t feel lonely. At that time, I thought of it as my older brother. Because I don’t have any brothers or sisters, I kept it close to me like a sibling. But as time passed and I grew up, it slowly became just a normal teddy bear. Recently, I saw a baby monkey called Punch playing with a teddy bear because it didn’t have its mother. When I saw that, it reminded me of my childhood. Even today, that teddy bear is still with me. Now I have even given it a funny name  "Amara".😂 What I really want to say is this... When we don’t have love and affection in our lives, we sometimes look for those feelings even in lifeless things.

ONE DAY

 One day I got sick. So I was on my way to get medicine. We had to get off the beautiful bridge over the river in our village and go to the dispensary. Oh my god...! I dont know if you will believe it. It was a really nice trip. Because I went there for a long time. So now that bridge is before my eyes. I happily walked over the bridge, surrounded by blue fields. Beyond the paddy fields, blue color mountains. Beautiful clouds like a blue sea. The river flows beautifully under bridge. I took a lot of pictures that day. They are very beautiful. Walk through a village at least once in your life and have an experience like this.

  One thing I do often is listen to music. For me, music isn't just a simple pastime. It's a a way to soothe my mind, a world where my thoughts can rest.
