Devi Yashodara

 Yashodhara is regarded as one of the most noble and respected women in Buddhist history. She was the wife of Prince Siddhartha, who later became Gautama Buddha. Born into a royal family, she was known for her beauty, wisdom, and graceful character. She was also known by the names Bimba Devi and Bhaddakachchayana . According to Buddhist tradition, she and the Bodhisattva had fulfilled virtues together throughout 547 previous births. This long spiritual journey symbolizes their deep karmic connection across samsara. When Prince Siddhartha renounced worldly life in search of truth, Yashodhara was still very young. At that time, she had just given birth to their son, Rahula. Although she experienced deep sorrow after her husband’s departure, she bore her suffering with patience and dignity. Instead of living in luxury as a princess, she chose to live a simple and restrained life. Her strength and self-control became an example to many. When the Buddha returned to Kapilavastu after attaining Enlightenment, she approached him with great respect. Rather than expressing anger or resentment, she demonstrated profound understanding. She later encouraged her son Rahula to seek guidance from the Buddha. Rahula eventually became a monk and attained arahantship. Inspired by the Dhamma, Yashodhara herself entered the order of nuns. Through dedication and meditation, she realized the ultimate truth and attained arahantship as well. Buddhist texts describe her as a woman of deep insight and strong determination. Her life reflects patience, sacrifice, and unwavering faith in the path to liberation. She transformed personal sorrow into spiritual growth. Yashodhara’s story shows that enlightenment is attainable for women as well as men. She stands as a symbol of devotion, wisdom, and inner strength. Her character represents both compassionate love and spiritual independence. In Buddhist history, she holds a place of lasting honor and reverence. Even today, her name is remembered with respect by followers of Buddhism around the world.

 When I was little, one day I got a teddy bear. Usually, boys don’t buy teddy bears, but I kept it next to me on my bed so I wouldn’t feel lonely. At that time, I thought of it as my older brother. Because I don’t have any brothers or sisters, I kept it close to me like a sibling. But as time passed and I grew up, it slowly became just a normal teddy bear. Recently, I saw a baby monkey called Punch playing with a teddy bear because it didn’t have its mother. When I saw that, it reminded me of my childhood. Even today, that teddy bear is still with me. Now I have even given it a funny name  "Amara".😂 What I really want to say is this... When we don’t have love and affection in our lives, we sometimes look for those feelings even in lifeless things.

ONE DAY

 One day I got sick. So I was on my way to get medicine. We had to get off the beautiful bridge over the river in our village and go to the dispensary. Oh my god...! I dont know if you will believe it. It was a really nice trip. Because I went there for a long time. So now that bridge is before my eyes. I happily walked over the bridge, surrounded by blue fields. Beyond the paddy fields, blue color mountains. Beautiful clouds like a blue sea. The river flows beautifully under bridge. I took a lot of pictures that day. They are very beautiful. Walk through a village at least once in your life and have an experience like this.

  One thing I do often is listen to music. For me, music isn't just a simple pastime. It's a a way to soothe my mind, a world where my thoughts can rest.
