DRAMA & THEATRE - My Passion & Experience


Drama and theatre have always been subjects I deeply love. I joined the University of Visual and Performing Arts, and being surrounded by its artistic environment and vibrant culture further fueled my passion for this field. Through drama and theatre, I discovered a unique way to express my emotions, desires, and thoughts.

The Significance of Drama

  • Character Development – Whether reading, performing, or creating a play, we get to explore characters’ emotions, love, sorrow, and challenges in a lively, relatable way.

  • Social and Cultural Perspective – Drama introduces us to new ideas about society, relationships, power, and conflict, allowing us to think differently about the world around us.

  • Experience and Liveliness – Stage elements like lighting, music, and set design add depth and bring a live, immersive experience to every performance.

Acting and Training

  • Developing psychological and emotional skills essential for actors.

  • Learning voice modulation, body language, and stage presence to convey emotions effectively.

  • Drama allows us to express feelings openly and creatively, enhancing personal growth.

My Personal Experience

At the University of Visual and Performing Arts, I discovered not only my love for drama and theatre but also my creative potential and emotional depth. Performing and creating on stage provides me with a sense of mental strength, fulfillment, and joy that is truly unique.

Conclusion

Engaging with drama and theatre—whether by reading, acting, or producing—deepens our emotional understanding, creative ability, and cultural awareness. For me, this art form is not just a subject; it is a living experience that nurtures my passion and inspires my soul.

 When I was little, one day I got a teddy bear. Usually, boys don’t buy teddy bears, but I kept it next to me on my bed so I wouldn’t feel lonely. At that time, I thought of it as my older brother. Because I don’t have any brothers or sisters, I kept it close to me like a sibling. But as time passed and I grew up, it slowly became just a normal teddy bear. Recently, I saw a baby monkey called Punch playing with a teddy bear because it didn’t have its mother. When I saw that, it reminded me of my childhood. Even today, that teddy bear is still with me. Now I have even given it a funny name  "Amara".😂 What I really want to say is this... When we don’t have love and affection in our lives, we sometimes look for those feelings even in lifeless things.

ONE DAY

 One day I got sick. So I was on my way to get medicine. We had to get off the beautiful bridge over the river in our village and go to the dispensary. Oh my god...! I dont know if you will believe it. It was a really nice trip. Because I went there for a long time. So now that bridge is before my eyes. I happily walked over the bridge, surrounded by blue fields. Beyond the paddy fields, blue color mountains. Beautiful clouds like a blue sea. The river flows beautifully under bridge. I took a lot of pictures that day. They are very beautiful. Walk through a village at least once in your life and have an experience like this.

MY FAVORITE SONG

  One thing I do often is listen to music. For me, music isn't just a simple pastime. It's a a way to soothe my mind, a world where my thoughts can rest. Specially when I listen to songs that calm the soul , all the sadness, heaviness and silent pain in my heart slowly fade away, as if they never existed. I have a deep love for old songs. I enjoy new songs too , and they have their charm. But my heart always gravitates toward the old ones - they hold a depth , a timeless truth that resonates differently.  When it's raining, with a cup of coffee in hand, listening to music - it's feeling words can hardly capture. In that moment , my mind becomes completely quiet. It's not just simple pleasure. It's an aesthetic feeling, where life's chaos fades away and everythinf aligns in a single , serene instant.
